RECYCLING TIP OF THE WEEK

  Smoke detectors contain a small amount of radioactive material.  To recycle an old or dead smoke detector, send it back to the manufacturer.  First Alert, BRK and Family Guard detectors can be mailed to:  BRK Brands, 25 Spur Drive, El Paso, TX 79906.  Write "For disposal" on the front of the package.  Up to five smoke alarms are accepted for free.  All smoke alarms need to be replaced every ten years.
