TURN YOUR TRASH INTO TREASURE WITH A BRAVE NEW COMPOSTER


To make the composting process easier and more affordable than ever, the Northern Berkshire Solid Waste Management District is offering home composting bins at more than half the retail price. This offer, made possible through District funds and a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, is available to residents of Adams, Cheshire, Clarksburg, Florida, Hancock, Hinsdale, Lanesborough, New Ashford, Peru, Williamstown and Windsor.

The Brave New Composter is made in Massachusetts from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. It has a cone shaped floor and cover which provide air and moisture to the composting material, requiring a minimum of maintenance while producing compost in about 3 months. The compost bins help hold in heat and moisture, keep animals out, and look more attractive than open compost heaps.
