What is an Electronics Collection?

Items that will be accepted include televisions, monitors, computers, air conditioners, telephones, stereos, printers, CD players, VCR’s and speakers.

Fees range from $2-$35, based on size.

This covers the cost of shipping the electronics to a facility in New Jersey where they are refurbished or broken down to recyclable components and material.

Most televisions and monitors contain five pounds of lead that must be removed.
The collection is open to residents of Adams, Cheshire, Florida, Hancock, Hinsdale, Lanesborough, New Ashford, Peru, Savoy, Williamstown and Windsor.

Commissioners representing the towns will be staffing the collection. For more information call the District Office at (413) 743-8208.
